It's time for the annual Pinewood Derby. For those reading who don't know what that is, let me take a moment to inform you. The Pinewood Derby is a race but it's not just any race. Bug participates in the derby through his Scout pack. At one of the meetings, a block of wood is handed out and it's up to each scout and his dad (or mom in some cases) to sand, chisel and mold this block of wood into a car. Grandpa (my paw-in-law) used to help hubby with his cars back in the day so it only seemed fair to get him involved. Last year was Bugger's first race and he took 1st place with the help of Grandpa's expertise in the Pinewood Derby department. Seeing as how Bug did so well last year, it only seemed appropriate to have Grandpa's help again. So, Grandpa and Grandma headed out to our house Sunday afternoon. It didn't take long for the boys to get started.
After they did all they could do, Grandpa decided to take a wild ride on Bug's E-Scooter. I'm not sure who had more fun, Grandpa or EJ (chasing Grandpa).
The car isn't complete yet but I'll be sure to get a picture up when it is. Hopefully, there will be a 1st place ribbon to accompany the car!!!
